How to Decorate Your Home for Easter

As spring approaches and the countdown to Easter is on, I like to add a few decor pieces to my home. It doesn’t have to be over the top, and your home doesn’t have to be sprinkled with that basket grass in every corner. Just a few touches to get your home ready for the spring season. Though right now, it’s still very much winter in Utah. Hopefully spring will come soon because I’m ready for the warmer weather! Today I’m sharing how to decorate your home for Easter.

As I mentioned, I don’t like to get too theme crazy with Easter decor. I focus more on adding spring-like colors, greenery and faux spring florals throughout my home. I do sprinkle in a few cute bunnies here and there, but nothing major. Then, once Easter has passed, all I have to do is remove the bunnies and eggs, and my home is still in spring shape.

Before we dive into how I specifically decorate for Easter, I wanted to share a roundup of spring florals and bunny figurines that I found recently.

These bunnies are great neutral pieces to place throughout your home. In this post, I suggest certain places that they could be placed. But a few examples are a coffee table, entry way console, kitchen island, bathroom vanity or fireplace mantel. Because they’re neutral, you don’t have to worry about matching them with other decor.

Faux stems can be hit or miss, depending on the material and overall look of the flower. However, these and a few others I’ll feature in this post are all great options to choose from. And bonus, they don’t require any maintenance.

Styling Your Kitchen Island or Dining Table

This is a cute and affordable way to add some Easter to your kitchen island or dining table. I took three chocolate bunnies and ducks and unwrapped them. Then, I placed them on a marble tray and sprinkled some colored Easter grass for a pop of color. If you have kiddos, this is especially fun. The trick is to not let them get into the chocolate. 🙂

I placed some of my favorite spring tulips into a white stoneware pitcher for added color, height and texture. The tulips are affordable and look so real. They make a great addition to any spring or Easter decor.

Another way to style your kitchen island for Easter and spring is to simply place a large vase onto the island and then add faux cherry blossoms to the vase. It makes a beautiful statement piece for your kitchen. It would also be beautiful placed on your dining room table.

An easy way to bring spring to your coffee table arrangement is to add a wicker tray to the center of the table. I love using wicker for spring because it gives me Easter basket vibes. Then place a small to medium vase on one end of the tray, and add desired florals to the vase. Here I added white tulips. Next place one or two of those bunnies on the tray. Finish the look with a light-colored candle like white or cream to complete the tray’s look. You could also add in neutral-colored beads like these HERE.

To decorate a console table, I like adding white or light-colored vases with faux spring florals. You could also add a bunny or two on the table. These antique-looking picture frames would also make great styling pieces to decorate for Easter and the springtime. I think it would be fun to add a photo of your kid(s) sitting on the Easter bunny’s lap in years past too. This olive tree is another great addition to any space. It brings a little color to the corner of the room and a great space filler.

Another easy addition to your Easter decor is to add an Easter-themed throw pillow or two on your couch. You can never have enough right?! And if your other throw pillows are darker in color, you could change those out to a brighter neutral like white, cream or light gray.
