There’s something special about shopping and supporting small businesses. Behind each one are business owners working hard to deliver the best products to their customers. They generally offer collections specifically curated by the designer and have many unique pieces you can’t find anywhere else. Some of my favorite smaller shops are owned by some of my favorite designers who have decided to lend their style in a more accessible way. When they are providing these collections, they usually have a vision and mission and stay true to who they are. So today, I want to highlight 5 favorite small shops for home decor!

House of Jade

One of my favorite small shops is House of Jade. Founded by two women, their goal is to bring inspiration and attainable design and decor into your home. They are a design team who have curated a wonderful collection of pieces in their shop that they would use in their own homes and for their design clients.
Some of my favorite items in their shop are their accent pieces. Using an accent piece is a great way to add a little something extra to a space. This works great even if you don’t have a lot of extra room. For example, adding a plant, like this Faux Olive Tree can freshen up a space and even better, you don’t have to remember to water it!
Another idea is to add small boxes to a space. My favorite way to do this is by finding some that resemble vintage books. This set of two is perfect for storing small items and can be displayed on a console or bookshelf.

Another small shop that I adore is Foundation Goods. The company prides themselves on providing goods that not only make your home pretty, but are purposeful. Their products are chosen to withstand trends and last through changing styles.
The Bertie chair is super unique in its shape and design and would be a great statement piece of furniture. It is super comfortable and would go perfectly in any room. Hunting for handmade items for my home is a hobby of mine, and these Clara vases are the perfect find. They are handmade and hand painted and bring a simple, yet romantic vibe to any space.
Lulu & Georgia

Lulu and Georgia is another small business that I love to support. Their mission is to bring beauty into your home and to inspire clients to elevate their style. They love to collaborate with designers to curate one-of-a-kind collections that will fit into any home.
I love using different sizes and shapes of bowls as decorative accents. This Clementine bowl is perfect for a tablescape. It’s hand carved, and the white wash color adds a nice rustic flair to any style.
Adding a vase to a mantel, bookshelf, or console is a great way to give a space a little something extra. I particularly like abstract and modern vases, and this Sina vase would be the perfect addition to any home. It could by styled alone or with dried botanical stems.

Lighting is such an easy way to brighten up your home, and these Gorey Contemporary Wall Lights are the perfect blend of contemporary design combined with classic style. With multiple finishes and fabric choices, these lights will add an elegant touch to your home.
Adding candle holders to different areas is another way to add to the atmosphere of a room. The brass finish of these adds an antique touch that can’t be beat. I like to style them on my mantel or on a tablescape.

Lastly, Lindye Galloway gives an effortless California style that will blend into your home not matter where you live.
Another accent piece that I love to use around the house are baskets of different sizes. They are so versatile with how and where they can be styled. This Kelsey Basket Set is handwoven and brings an organic feel to a room. The large one would look great with a plant in it, and the smaller ones could be used to store items or put under a console to store throws and pillows.
If you like raw and refined materials, this Diefenbaker lamp is the perfect balance of the two. The brass stem is an elegant touch to the ceramic-textured base. This would look great on a side table by the sofa or on an entryway table.
